A question about Import/Export from ebay to wawi to jtl shop3

Hi,

I'm not sure that this is the right subforum for this type of request, if it's not - I am really sorry, could the mods move it to the right section.

I hope there is no problem that I'm using english, my german is a bit too rusty to try it out here

So I have the following issue. The situation I am currently in is that I have an ebay shop with about 4000 items, each item has a description, a category and images. I am using WAWI 0.9.9.923 and currently it's not synced with my ebay shop. I want to sync it with the ebay shop, so every item/article/product in WAWI has the description in the Beschreibung field in WAWI and also the images should go in the Bilder fields. I need all of that to happen, because I want to sync wawi with the jtl shop3, so that every item for sale there has a product description and images. I also want the category from the ebay angebote Artikelzustand to be exported somehow to the JTL Shop3 .

Any input is welcome, anyone with experience in doing that is welcome to comment. I am sure that I'm not the only one that would find this very useful and helpful if there is a proven method that works

You can use the "Angebotsimport" it will create a product in your WAWI for each auction and store the HTML code from your ebay description as "Beschreibung" and also get the images.
From there you can then activate the created products for your JTL-Shop3 and achieve your goal.

Thank you for the fast reply! Would the Angebotsimport create new products in wawi or it will just append the information to the existing ones. For example if I have product "A" and currently it has no description and images in WAWI and the same product "A" has an ebay auction. What happens when I import its Angebot - will WAWI create an entirely new product or it will just fill in the blanks in the correct fields - description and images and so on ? I would try that as soon as possible to test, but currently I don't have access to WAWI .

You can either create new products or connect the auctions to existing one -> as long as the existing products have the exact same variations and the article number has to be like the "Bestandseinheit" at eBay...

...but if you connect them the informations will not be importet as it will assume that the existing product in the WAWI already has all necassary informations.

I see, it actually makes sense to trust WAWI more than ebay and not write over the products in WAWI. But is there a way to make it overwrite the existing products, so it will append the information to them ? For example the Description field in product "A" has no information it in, so it's blank, but if I import it from ebay, by the case of WAWI protecting the information it will not use the imported information, because it sees that the product "A" is the exact same in WAWI and in Ebay, with the only difference being - the description and images and so on. So how do I force WAWI to append the information ? Is there a way ? My idea for now is rather brute force related - I will just delete all the products and reimport them from Ebay, but I rather not do that, because it seems too extreme.
