Hello everyone,

Since June 2025, the BFSG has also applied to many online shops, and the topic keeps coming up here in the forum. I built a small free Chrome extension for this, Barrier Bureau, and would appreciate honest feedback from people who run a JTL shop.

What she does: You open a page of your own shop (homepage, article page, shopping cart), click on „Check this page" and receive a report in German. For each problem, it explains what it means for the customer base, how to fix it, and exactly where it is located on the page. The system checks according to WCAG 2.1 AA, as well as whether the page links to an accessibility statement. The report can be saved as a PDF and forwarded to the agency.

No account, no costs, the check runs entirely in the browser, nothing is uploaded.

Barrier Bureau – EAA Accessibility Check for Online Shops

Frankly, an automated test only finds part of the barriers, about a third to half. It's a starting point, not legal advice.

What interests me most is: Are the explanations understandable? And if you try it on your JTL shop: Is something missing or is something wrong?

Greetings
Miki
